The events before and during the Convention offered an excellent platform for UK companies, large and small, to connect with Indian companies and British companies already in market. UKIBC ran a full programme on doing business in India, focusing on the practicalities of working in this complex market.
The Convention was opened on the evening of 10th October at a gala event hosted by the British High Commissioner Sir James Bevan. Dr Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and President of the Board of Trade and Patricia Hewitt, Chair of UK India Business Council spoke at the plenary sessions and also visited Equiniti India’s Exhibition zone.
The exclusive UKIBC Zone was allocated to British companies and brands to showcase their products and services. Equiniti India showcased its services at the Connect’ 14 'Doing Business in India' Zone.
The event acted as an effective branding initiative for Equiniti India, providing both business exposure and networking opportunities for Equiniti India representatives.
