Sam Halford, Managing Director of Equiniti India has been invited by the Confederation of British Industries (CBI) to join the first ever India Advisory Group. The new body will advise UK businesses in India on key policy issues which concern them and act as a barometer to gauge the business environment of the country for UK companies. It will also make pro-active suggestions concerning trade and investment with the governments of India and the UK.
Across the UK, the CBI speaks on behalf of 190,000 businesses of all sizes and sectors which together employ nearly 7 million people, about one third of the private sector-employed workforce. With offices in the UK as well as representation in Brussels, Washington, Beijing and Delhi, the CBI communicates the British business voice around the world. The CBI India office is based in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion Sam said; “It is a great honour to have been invited to be a member of this Advisory Group which will allow access to detailed information concerning the future of UK/India business relationships. I look forward to participating in relevant events and connecting with key businesses and politicians in both India and the UK”
