It is a platform to promote innovation and generate ideas that could have a positive impact on EQ’s business. The lab is product/technology and tool agnostic and the team is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to explore the technology landscape without any restrictions. The lab will be an enabler for resources interested in making a change to explore uncharted territories and take ideas from conception to implementation regardless of whether it is big or small. EQI strongly believes that innovation is fueled by people and wants to foster an environment that encourages creative thinking and ideation.
The Innovation lab would be primarily focusing on various mobile frameworks/ languages to develop rich, secure and performant applications that can be installed on various types of devices. The team will also be focusing in UI development standards and will attempt to contribute to Equiniti’s products to enrich user experience. Another area of interest to the team would be latest advancements in distributed ledger technologies and how it could shape Equiniti’s products in future. One more interesting avenue which has piqued the interest of the Innovation Lab is the world of Robotic Process Automation (RPA), which is the use of software with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities to automate high-volume, repeatable tasks.
Innovation Lab would also promote platforms like hackathons/ideathons in the near future and look at Idea Incubation stations that would allow staff to contribute to organization’s growth.
